  • Central Iowa’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held in September and Courtyard Estates is planning a BIG kick-off for the walk-“Light Up The Night”!

June 13th, we are hosting a family friendly fundraising event that will start at 9am and last till 9pm. We will start the day’s event with a car show, and we are expecting 50 plus cars. “Nearly Elvis” will make an appearance driving his pink Cadillac at 10am and will be performing from 10am to 11am. NASH FM 97.3 will be doing a live remote from 11am to 1pm. KJJY 92.5 will be joining us for a second live remote from 2pm to 4pm.

During this day we will be providing a hot dogs, chips and a drink for all the visitors, as well as a spinning wheel with chances to win many prizes. 1pm to 4pm will be a fun filled time for parents to bring the children out to play! Cubby from the Iowa Cubs will make an appearance. Other special activities will include; rock climbing wall, bouncy house, games, karaoke, and horse rides. A perfect end to a busy day will include a full barbeque with live entertainment from 5pm till 8pm.

The Grand Finale will be the release of 100 plus purple sky lanterns into the night sky representing anyone who has been effected by this terrible disease. All proceeds will go to the Iowa Alzheimer’s Association. Courtyard Estates would love for KCCI to be a part of this event to help us bring awareness to this disease, as it has affected 5.3 million people in the United States alone.

Every 67 seconds someone is being diagnosed so anyone that has a brain is at risk. Thank you for your time and have a blessed weekend.
